3rd Epsom (St Martin's) Scout Group

Uniform

Beaver Uniform
The Beavers should come to each meeting wearing their turquoise sweatshirt with badges (Beaver jumpers). They should also wear a neatly rolled Group scarf, suitable trousers or shorts and suitable shoes for walking and playing games (trainers are ideal). We also suggest they wear their navy group T-shirt under their Beaver jumpers so that they can take off their jumpers after the opening ceremony.

It should be noted that there are odd occasions, like Church Parade or St George's Day Parade, when we do ask for smart uniform to be worn. For these occasions Beavers should wear their turquoise sweatshirt, smart trousers (school trousers or shorts are ideal) and smart shoes.

Cub Uniform
We expect all Cubs Scouts to come to Cubs each week wearing their green sweatshirt with badges (Cub jumpers). They should also wear a neatly rolled Group scarf, blue scout activity trousers or navy shorts/shirts and suitable shoes for walking and playing games (trainers are ideal). We also suggest they wear their navy group T-shirt under their Cubs jumpers so that they can take off their jumpers after inspection.

On occasions, where we indicate 'Scarves only', this is likely to be a messy evening or one outside. Cubs can wear their own clothes with their Group Scarf. The blue group T-shirt and/or hoodie is ideal for these occasions.

When meeting at the HQ we also ask each Cub Scout to bring a pencil (that works), a piece of paper (that is useable), a clean handkerchief or tissue (that is useable). We check these at inspection at the start of each meeting, together with ensuring they are quite and standing at alert. We also check their hands are clean.

Scout Uniform
The Scouts should come to each meeting wearing their teal green shirt and a neatly rolled Group scarf. They should also wear blue Scout activity trousers, scout belt and suitable shoes for walking and playing games (trainers are ideal). We also suggest they wear their navy group T-shirt under their Scout shirts so that they can take off their shirts after inspection. Please also bring a coat as some activities take place outside. Scouts are inspected each week and points are awarded for smartness of uniform and scarves neatly rolled.
